Digitalization of Urban Planning in Ukraine: Current Status and Next Steps for Transparent Recovery

UNECE is pleased to support the upcoming event "Digitalization of Urban Planning in Ukraine: Current Status and Next Steps for Transparent Recovery" on December 4, 2024, in Kyiv. This high-level gathering, organized by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, will showcase significant progress in Ukraine's digital transformation of urban planning systems, including the launch of the State Urban Planning Cadastre and advancements in the Unified State Register of Addresses. The event will bring together key stakeholders from government ministries, specialized construction communities, international donors, and local authorities to discuss the digitalization of Ukraine's construction sector as part of its reconstruction efforts.

As part of UNECE's ongoing commitment to supporting Ukraine's sustainable urban development, we will participate in the panel discussion on the role of international partners in developing and implementing the State Urban Planning Cadastre. This event builds upon our collaboration through the UN4UkrainianCities project, which supports cities like Kharkiv and Mykolaiv in enhancing their urban planning capabilities. The discussion will provide valuable insights into how digital transformation can contribute to a more transparent and efficient reconstruction process, aligning with international best practices and supporting Ukraine's path toward European integration in its urban development frameworks.
