The Geneva UN Charter on Sustainable Housing

The Charter addresses key challenges in the housing sector and promotes four principles: environmental protection, economic effectiveness, social inclusion and participation, and cultural adequacy. It encourages member States to take action in limiting the environmental impact of housing, promoting access to housing, ensuring decent and safe housing, and continuing the application of sustainable housing principles, ultimately contributing to the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and resilient urban environments.
